2014 ൽ കണ്ണൂർ സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ വന്ന ഒരു വിദേശ വനിതയെ നാട്ടിൽ ഏറെ പ്രചാരമുള്ള തെയ്യത്തെ വളരെ അപൂർവ തെയ്യം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു വളരെ ദൂരേക്ക് ടാക്സിയിൽ കൂടി കൊണ്ടുപോയി തെയ്യം കാണിച്ചു തിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ,ഒന്ന് രണ്ട് മാസക്കാലം കണ്ണൂർ താമസിച്ച അവർക്ക് മനസിലായി ഈ തെയ്യം ധാരാളമായി ഉണ്ട് എന്ന് .യാദൃശ്ചികമായി ഈ കാര്യം ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ഓരോ നാട്ടിലെ തെയ്യം അറിയിപ്പിനായി ഒരു വാട്സ്ആപ് ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയാലോ എന്നൊരു ആലോചനയിൽ ഏതാനും ആളുകളെ ചേർത്ത് ഒരു ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ലഭ്യമായ നോട്ടീസ് വാട്സ്ആപ് വഴി ഷെയർ ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു തുടങ്ങി .ട്രാവൽ കണ്ണൂർ ടീമുമും സമാന്തരമായ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തു അതെ സമയം അത് പോലെ ഡി ടി പി സി യും .അങ്ങനെ തുടങ്ങിയ ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ ഇന്ന് 5 ഗ്രൂപ്പിലായി 4000 ത്തിലധികം ആളുകൾ ഉണ്ട് വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഇന്ന് . കേരളത്തിലെ തെയ്യം കളിയാട്ട തീയതികളും കാവ് വിവരങ്ങളും ജനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് ആരംഭിച്ചത് ഇന്ന് അത് ഒരു വെബ്സൈറ്റായി വളർന്നു, ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മലയം ഭാഷയിൽ ഉള്ള അപൂർവ വെബ്സൈറ്റ് ഒപ്പം സപ്പോർട്ടിങ് ആയി തെയ്യം വിക്കി തെയ്യം ആരാധകർക്കും സന്ദർശകർക്കും കൃത്യമായ വിവരങ്ങൾ ലഭ്യമാക്കൻ കഴിഞ്ഞ കാലങ്ങളിൽ സാധ്യമായിട്ടുണ്ട് . ഭാവിയിലും എല്ലാ വരുടെയും സഹായ സഹകരണം പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു .ഉത്തരമലബാറിലെ അനുഷ്ഠാനമായ തെയ്യം കാണാൻ കാവിലേക്കുള്ള ഒരു വഴികാട്ടിയായി തെയ്യം കലണ്ടർ എന്നും ഉണ്ടാകും സഹകരണത്തിന് നന്ദി

In 2014, a foreign woman visiting Kannur was taken by taxi to a distant location to witness a Theyyam performance, having been told it was a "very rare" form of the art — even though, after staying in Kannur for a couple of months, she realized it was actually quite common. Upon noticing this, the idea arose to create a WhatsApp group to share information about Theyyam performances in various localities; a group was formed, and available notices began to be shared. The 'Travel Kannur' team and the DTPC were simultaneously undertaking similar initiatives. What started as a single group has now expanded into five groups with over 4,000 members from various countries. Originally established to disseminate information regarding Kerala's Theyyam and Kaliyattam dates and details about the sacred groves (*Kavu*), the initiative has since grown into a website — a unique platform available in both English and Malayalam. Additionally, the 'Theyyam Wiki' has been launched to provide accurate information to Theyyam enthusiasts and visitors. We look forward to everyone's continued support and cooperation in the future. The 'Theyyam Calendar' will continue to serve as a guide for those wishing to witness Theyyam, the ritual art form of North Malabar. Thank you for your cooperation.
